I hate this concept of an "Executive" Ph.D. Why not just offer a DBA?! BTW, this is not designed as a professional doctorate. Gotta disagree with the concept here. A professional doctorate emphasizes research and requires a traditional dissertation. We've seen some talk about "doctoral projects" and the like, but the requirement is still there. Old wine in new bottles. Are there professional doctorates, especially of late, that are weak in this area? I think so. But they do not define the category. The only difference between a professional doctorate and a scholarly doctorate should be that the professional doctorate advances practice, while the scholarly doctorate advances and adds to scholarship (theory testing and theory creation). Reading the program description, it sounds like a professional doctorate and not a PhD. And I REALLY don't like the "executive" moniker. Either it is a PhD or it is not.

Quite expensive for a degree from a not-well-known school. I have never heard of this school despite driving by Longville, Texas, hundreds of times.
